Lighting Trends

Friday is almost here and I'm already salivating at the thought of a frosty, fruity beverage. You can picture it can't you? Maybe a strawberry margarita or perhaps a Pina Colada, complete with one of those little colorful cocktail umbrellas? Mmm. Delicious!

Bright Lights Little City is a site I found on the always fabulous Daily Candy. Heather Wells, a Rhode Island School of Design graduate, creates lovely handcrafted lamps in a variety of shapes, sizes & colors. Each piece is individually hand made and available for sale on her website.

Available in two different collections - Lush & Milky Way - each lamp is filled with personality, whimsy and truly showcases Wells' artistry and sense of humor. The Lush Collection is made with brightly colored cocktail umbrellas dipped in phosphorescent paint (glow in the dark!), sprayed with a protective lacquer and finished with a fire retardant spray. Available as a hanging light and as a table lamp, these lamps are stylish, sassy AND classy all at once!

The Milky Way Collection is simpler in form but just as stylish. Made from a woven quilling paper and also available as both a hanging lamp & table lamp, each piece in the Milky Way Collection is sprayed with a protective lacquer and finished with a fire retardant spray. Every Hanging lamp includes a high quality hanging chord and ALL lamps include light bulbs.
