This delectable light fixture, nicknamed Whippy, comes to us from design studio Mixko, a UK based design house set up by artistic geniuses Alex Garnett & Nahoko Koyama. Mixko creations include everything from interior design objects and modern sculpture to fashion accessories and cool, innovative websites.
After doing some digging on their website, I was pleased to find a few more super cool, modern looking lamp shades, hanging lamps, desk lamps and more! Many of the fixtures are specifically designed with energy efficient CFLs (compact fluorescent lights) in mind. While some of these pieces are more conceptual than anything, others are in fact available for purchase online via Mixko's own website. Why not take a gander?
