According to the Merry Design Studio website, "Ziplamp is a stick made of Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), wrapped by a Neoprene cover with a vertical zip." While Ziplamp is is purely in a conceptual phase at the moment, I can definitely visualize this being used in home lighting applications. Bag this up and ship it my way, please! I. Love. This. Lamp. (Except the seemingly green inside to the Neoprene. Does that come in different colours?) They should team with BUILT NY, my favourite Neoprene-using company... (Since there are just so many of those...) Very cool.
I love this too! I don't think it's on the market...at least I couldn't find it anywhere. I'm sure they'd make it in other colors if it ever did go to market.
